I know what I'm doing

• I've been professionally proofreading, editing and writing for  more than 20 years.
• I have a degree in English from Oxford University.
• I lived in Norfolk for 15 years before moving to Amsterdam at the end of 2020. Ik spreek een beetje Nederlands en leer elke dag meer.
• I worked for many years in private and public sector publishing and marketing departments.
• I have particular experience in construction and health & safety (hence the photos), but have worked on a broad range of subjects.
• I’m an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proffreading (CIEP).
• I take professional development seriously with regular training and networking.

You may think editors are like your worst teachers at school - always ready with a red pen and a pitying glare. Not me - I'll take the time to get to know you and your objectives, and apply my editorial skills constructively to suit your needs. But I'm straight-talking when I need to be. If I think your communications can get better results, I'll tell you.
